Happy Mother's Day :)

Happy belated Mother's Day.... I hope everyone had a great day. I had the best start to my day- the girlies made me breakfast in bed (my fav- eggs in a raft). It was awesome. The girls were so excited. They had made some cards and crafts in school for me :) Rich and the girls also got me a bicycle. The girls took their time and made cards for Rich's mom.
We went over to Rich's mom's house, it was a beautiful morning and we ate outside and took a walk around her complex.

The Lilac bushes were so pretty... I couldn't resist playing with my camera.
The girlies spotted a bunny!

afterward we ended up at the firehouse. I really wanted my car washed- so rich washed and vacuumed it at the firehouse. We had Murphy with us and Allison decided he needed to run- so she ran him around the parking lot.

again- playing with my camera settings...
awwwww.
Katie is doing a project on her favorite spot in the Three Village Community... she picked Emma Clark Library. She was encouraged to include a picture of herself at the spot chosen. SO here she is.

Christopher's Baptism

On April 20th- my nephew Christopher was baptized. I was honored to be asked to be his godmother. It was such a nice ceremony. Here are some photos I took that day. Proud mom and dad...
He looked so handsome in his baptism outfit.

He was so cute.... after he woke up, he was so attentive. He paid attention to everything that was going on.

Dave (Doug's friend) was Christopher's godfather.

TED

I friend of mine recently showed me this website... he thought I would like it. Boy was he right! Its called TED....

"TED began in 1984 as a conference devoted to the converging fields of technology, entertainment and design. Over the years, the scope has broadened. But the formula remains the same: Gather the world's leading thinkers and doers; offer them four days of rapid-fire stimulation. The result? Unexpected connections. Extraordinary insights. Powerful inspiration. "

Check it out at www.ted.com. Its very cool.

Setauket Fire Department Installation Dinner

This year my Brother-in-law Bob is the chief of Setauket FD. The chief is allowed to invited guests to the dinner. So this year he invited Katie and Allie. Of course his daughters were there too and my other neices and nephews... it was a blast to have everyone there. It was held this year at the Hyatt in Hauppauge. It was a really nice place- we got there early and swam in the pool and stay the night.. .we made a nice weekend out of it. The dinner was the first weekend in March... so again I have apologize for the late posting. me and Sarah Hubbard
I didn't take too many pics of the ceremony... after so many years they all start looking the same. You can see lots of pics on the website- www.setauketfd.com Below is a pic of Richard (one of the commissioners) swearing Bobby in as Chief of Department! Bob actually requested the Rich swear him in... I believe its traditionally the Chairman of the Board that swears in the chief. It was an honor for Rich to do this for Bob. Its not such a great pic- sorry.

For the 100th day of school, Allison had to create a project. We made a celebration cake out of 100 cottonballs. She was very proud of her project!! During the winter break, Katie's Brownie troop got together at Emma S. Clark Library for some fun. They played games and made lanyards, etc.
I organized a tour of the firehouse for Allisons's Daisy Troop. The girls had fun... below you can see there demonstration of Stop, Drop and Roll!

Catching up.... (pics from February!)

My friend Jill's son turned 8 in February.... he had an awesome Ice Skating party at the rink in Port Jefferson Village. It was the first time the girls had ever been on skates... Kathryn did pretty good, I guess with her experience with rollerblades.
Allison needed more help... so she pushed around a cone for balance.
Dennis is a ice hockey player and is awesome on skates, he was so great with the kids and helped Allison out a bit too.
