unexpected and fun...

While at work today... I receive a call from Cindy (my cousin). She was in the area and had time for lunch. We met at Toast in Port Jefferson for a great lunch on a nice day....
It makes me realize how much I enjoy her company and how we really need to spend more time together :)

New Table

Unfortunately after scheduleing the floors, and after finishing the bathroom.... we had the misfortune of breaking the glass on our outdoor table. So Rich and I had to go and buy a new table... which after shopping around we found this one in Costco. It had to have NO glass and we were looking for no cushions! Our old table had seat cushions, which can be a pain in the but. I am was pretty shocked at how expensive outdoor tables are!!!!! THis photo was taken tonight during dinner....

new floors....

Besides a new bathroom... which I haven't posted any pics of... I will though. We refinished our wood floors. These pictures are before.... we had to move all the furniture out, quite a job btw! I figured it looked so strange, I need to take pics.
Tons of stuff was placed everwhere... here is my china cabinet in the girls room!

Officially a Brownie!!!!

Yesterday was Allison's bridging ceremony. It was supposed to be held outdoors at Avalon park... but the weather didn't cooperate. We actually had it in her troop leaders basement. It was so cute. Here is a picture of the Spirt poster they created.

The start of the ceremony....
They started with the pledge, and followed up with the girl scout promise.

Allison is crossing the "bridge" to become an brownie...
Congratulations Allison!

Rich and girls took and walk with Christopher (we babysat this weekend while Doug and Erica went to a wedding)
Allison's troop leader lives in Head of the Harbor in a beautiful home... I snapped this pic of her barn (bigger than my house btw) I kinda thought it might have been a little weird to take pics of her house too... also big and nice!

Memorial Day Parade 2008

There is a Memorial Day Parade every year in Setauket... It starts with a Service on the Village Green and is followed by a Parade down Main Street. This year it seemed every marched! The first picture is of Allison with her Daisy Troop while waiting to march... they made visors. Katie and her Friend Hannah
Jen Hubbard and Matt.
Isn't he cute????? This is Max... he is Bobby's dog.
Here comes the Parade. This is Pop marching with Port Jefferson FD.
I LOVE the old trucks.
My neice Taylor marched this year with Murphy Jr High band. She is in this pic, I am not sure how to describe where she is! LOL she is right under the sign for Old Field... sort of under the the arrow. Her hair is pulled back in a low pony tail.

Here comes Katies Brownie troop! Yay. Katie is carrying the banner (far left- green hat)

Allison's Daisy Troop! She is holding the leaders hand... to the left of the lady in the Red shirt.

My Neice Emily marched with her girl scout troop too... she is also hold the far left side of the banner!

At the memorial park (the end of the parade) Katie's troop leader broke out some ices! Yay.
Allison, Ava, Eva, Hannah and Rebecca

Memorial Day BBQ

On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend- we had a great BBQ at my Father-in-law's house. It was actually a little chilly that day... but it was nice to be outside in the fresh air. Pop, Rich, and Richard are relaxing... Jen looks adorable.... she is expecting her 3rd boy in September!!!!
Robbie and Erica, relaxing after a long and busy semester at Stony Brook. Congrats to Robbie on his 4.0 gpa!
Rob and Jen.... awwwww- Congratulations to Rob on his recent graduation from Hartford University! (I know Jen is thrilled to have him home- all the time)
This is a cute pic... this was the last in a series of pics of bob and gretchen.
Allison and her fake plastered smile... with her cousin Jackson
Katie while playing a game got the balls caught in the tree, pretty high up. Here is a pic of my Rich's dad trying to get them out with a HUGE branch. If you look closely you can see the blue balls in the tree.

good job Pop-Pop- he actually got them out!

Just chillin'
